Bath Half Marathon

Well, today I completed all 13.1 miles of the Bath Half Marathon! I ran the first 8 miles then stopped for a wee! After that I ran mostly until I hit 10 miles and then struggled for the last 3. Alternating walking and running, but with slightly more running I hasten to add! Now I can only move my legs if I use my arms to physically move them. Not quite sure how I'm going to drive to work tomorrow though! I am very chuffed with this and my time of 2 hours 35 minutes - not bad for an unfit smoker who did virtually no training! London Marathon here I come!!!??? I amanaged to raise about £200 for Hop, Skip and Jump, a play centre for special needs and sick children in Bristol, so that was good. I may have lost a lot lately, but I need to remember that there are those out there far worse off than me! As for the photos I had obviously eaten something that disagreed with me the night before as I woke up with a 'moon face' (swollen like after I eat a Chinese with loads of MSG). We also had to hang around for 2 hours as we were supposed to get there early and then the race was delayed by an hour. By the time it started I was wet and cold!
Thanks to everyone who sponsored me and if you haven't, go to http://www.justgiving.com/carrieross1 and give us some of your lolly!
